Weather: Light and cool breeze and light cloud with occasional bright spells. starting to feel more wintery.

Theo's 4hr private photo tour:

We started with one of the local WTE in its usual spruce tree, Red Deer on the hillsides and a male Hen Harrier flew over. With the tide turning we turned our attention towards Otters. We quickly found a mother and her small cub on a more distant reef giving nice scope views. In the nearer bay we spotted another family of Otters this time 4! Mother and her 2 cubs with a dog Otter in the mix too, likely the father of the cubs. They fished for a while and rolled around together before he headed off and away to feed leaving mum alone with the cubs.

We headed down to the shoreline, hunkered down in the seaweed and had a great 90mins watching them fishing in the near shoreline before coming closer and rolling around in the seaweed and bringing several fish ashore around 8m away! superb frame filling views for my 2 photo clients. They eventually looked to be settling down to rest so we left them be. Arriving back at the van there was just time for a Golden Eagle soaring over the ridgeline, a great morning out in golden light.
