Aswell as both seeing the white tailed eagle , both tours saw otters , Jack had two otters out
Arriving at Tobermory, Klay and Jack were both leading Mull Nature Explorers tours, and the weather was marked by constant squalls with low visibility due to the low clouds.
Even in these tricky conditions, both tours managed to see a White-tailed Eagle. Jack had a White-tailed Eagle flying over the guests, while Klay had a pair of White-tailed Eagles with prey at a nest.

In the misty conditions, sometimes you can have very close views of birds that land in unusual places during migration, as they cannot see well in the tricky conditions either. A prime example on Jack's tour was a stunning Black-tailed Godwit in summer plumage right next to the car, allowing the whole tour to see this incredible bird.

As the weather worsened, both tours were cut short to half a day. However, just before ending, Klay took one last look around a sea loch and spotted a wide variety of birds and animals, including Curlew, Heron, Wheatear, Common Sandpiper, and some Harbour Seals hauled out relaxing on the rocks. Lastly, two more otters were seen in the bay with Cormorants and Shags all fishing in unison. Despite the challenging conditions, there was still so much to see, and we thank the guests for their patience.
