The morning started quite wet but soon cleared up by 11 am onwards. Theo had a Mull Nature Explorer and managed some fantastic raptor action including golden eagle wt eagle and hen harrier. They also got a brief view of an otter.

On Jack’s private tour, they focused more on coastal habitat and manage five otters during the seven-hour trip!

Ewan was doing an ecological survey on a croft in the north-west of the island and saw male yellowhammer in song along with a sedge warbler. On the way back he filmed this juvenile wt eagle over the moors lifting the lapwing and curlew!

What an exciting day to be a nature explorer on Mull! Despite the wet start, the day turned into an incredible adventure filled with remarkable wildlife encounters. Theo’s Mull Nature Explorer sounds amazing golden eagles, white-tailed eagles, and hen harriers all in one tour is a dream come true for any bird enthusiast. Jack’s coastal trip spotting five otters in a single day is equally impressive! Ewan’s ecological survey adds a scientific touch, capturing the beauty of yellowhammers and sedge warblers in song. Moments like these truly show how rewarding it is to be a dedicated nature explorer.
