Ewan had a walking tour on the north side and started with some drumming snipe, which happens when the outer tail feathers are stiffer and more prominent than any other tail feather and vibrate when the bird swoops down, creating a humming or drumming sound, this sound is a part of their courtship / advertising display. After some great display from the snipe, the tour then found a female adder basking on top of a metal sheet!

Driving to the coastal walk, a white tailed eagle showed some incredible behaviour, catching a gosling right in front of the guests in a quiet bay ! On the coastal walk, the guests had distant views of an otter and both seal species, with some stunning views to go with the wildlife.

Now moving onto a moorland walk, with some great invertebrate and vertebrate action. A pair of golden eagles, soaring above a mountain, gave superb views for the guests ! A flyby emperor moth was seen on the moors, with also a small group of red deer.

Finishing the day, with a woodland walk to check the locals at eagles and saw both proud parents, but the eaglet was hunkered down out of view!

Jack and Ben had a private tour today, with 2 guests going around the south side of the island.

The day started off with a family of 6 wheatears with 4 freshly fledged chicks hopping around on the beach! Also, a white tailed eagle, perched high up in a pine tree before flying and causing an eruption of geese and waders to scatter and panic all over the place.

Following on from the great white tailed eagles views, the tour drove to a golden eagle territory, in the meantime constantly scanning the sea loch for otters but no sign.

Arriving at the golden eagle's nest, the eagles did not disappoint as a male gain height before leaving the area to go hunt.
