Wall-to-wall sunshine again on the island …it’s getting a bit boring now!? Still a fresh south-east wind but very pleasant temperatures…my bobble hat is off, and the sun cream is on!
We have to start with the truly incredible sky dancing Hen Harrier we had today!! Deep, fast undulations for around five minutes solid! There was another male and a female in the area as well. We also managed four Otters during the tour. Including one mature male showing very well for everyone with binocular and scope views.
We had White-tailed Eagles performing their aerial courtship ritual, locking talons and spiralling on the wing, v beautiful!
An adult Golden Eagle was seen breaking a mountain in the skyline with wonderful light on it and a big highlight to finish the day seven Common Dolphins just offshore with Kittiwakes, Razorbills and Shags feeding nearby.
Theo was out with the package group today, and it was a big focus on Otters, so look forward to hearing how they all got on.
Ewan and Theo will be with the package group tomorrow for their final day, and then Ewan is providing a private photo workshop on the Friday.
