Saturday was an office day for Ewan as Jack and Klay were in the Highlands doing surveys. Ewan popped down to L Cuin to check the waders/wildfowl in the late evening. Nice to see redshank, curlew and oystercatchers along with a lovely sunset.
Sunday was a Mull Nature Explorer with 8 guests. A sunny day yet again, but slightly cooler temp wise, with a light northerly. A moorland stop started with superb male cuckoo, male Whinchat and female Adder along with ravens mobbing a golden eagle overhead. We then checked a local woodland and managed two stonking adult G Eagles flying low down and stonechat and tree pipit. WT eagle on an active nest brooding the chick.
No sign of Otters in the afternoon but some nice harbour seals, shelduck and red deer.
