A bright but breezy day to start before wind got up and cloud came in with a little rain.

Theo and his group headed over to Ardnamurchan on the ferry crossing we had good numbers of Manx Shearwaters, Guillemots, Razorbills, Shags, Kittiwakes and a few Gannets. A single Common Dolphin leapt from the water a little distantly but didn't show again. Arriving at Kilchoan we spotted 2 White-tailed Eagles on the near hill side being harassed by Ravens.

Onto our next stop we had good views of a Buzzard and a Golden Eagle soared over the more distant hills.

Onto Sanna bay driving through the volcano crater in bright blue skies, a couple of Wheatears around. A beautiful beach walk we watched Great-northern and Red-throated Divers, lots of Sand Martin and a flock of 45 Pink-footed geese flew over calling bound for Iceland.

Heading round to the lighthouse we had superb views enroute of an adult female Golden Eagle soaring around before heading fairly low straight across above in front of us.

It was quite blustery at the Lighthouse but we enjoyed the facilities and views there over lunch.

Noticing the wind picking up and a heightened risk of ferry cancellations.. we opted to head off back to Mull. A wise decision as the ferry ride was quite choppy!

A short trip out to the north west of Mull was productive we had great views of a calling adult WTE overhead and a Golden Eagle flying over the moors in front.

Driving on to our final stop 2 Golden Eagles rose up from the near hillside flying alongside each other, an adult female and immature/2nd calendar year bird, maybe her chick from last year. The adult hunted the moorland hills and headed away and the juvenile reappeared and soared in front us fantastically for 10minutes before heading the same way. The rain started to arrive so we headed for home.
