A misty and cloudy day mostly with light showers and bright spells.

Theo's tour:

Theo picked up his private tour group and headed straight for a WTE territory. We had good scope views straight away of the female sat on her nest. A Harbour Seal was on an offshore skerry, a favourite for the kids in the group.

Heading for coastal habitat we were watching a female Otter shortly later fishing tight against the shore catching smaller fish before we parked up and had great close views of her eating a Rockling she brought ashore then drinking freshwater from a small burn coming into the sea. Heading onto our lunch spot we watched another Otter feeding along the shoreline, but we were rather distracted by a flock of 5 Immature White-tailed Eagles squabbling on the shoreline presumably over some dead washed up prey!

A bright spell came over casting some great light over the hills and on a coastal walk this paid off as we had great views of at least 8 immature WTE's (including the earlier 5) tumbling and flying around together before the local Golden Eagle pair came in and broke up the fun, sending the WTE's away. A ringtail Hen Harrier briefly appeared on the near skyline.

Over to moorland habitat we had superb views of 2 immature WTE's right overhead soaring and a large herd of Red Deer just as the rain came in. A drive around in the rain yielded 4 Irish Hares, really nice to see so many, and some Highland Cows and calves, always a fan favourite.

Coming towards the end of the day we just had time to visit 1 more WTE territory where the adult female was sat in the tree preening giving great scope views.
